Rather than just updating it and reposting it on my site, so many copies had already circulated in such a short amount of time, I decided to just call it a second realease. For the most part, I left what I had alone, but I did add a few sections. Soon later, after reading over it a few times, I decided that, though informative and braud, the text was still missing a little. I put Digital Voodoo out on TCU (The CyberUnderground) immediately after it was finished. a Hacker!" Configuration profiles address issues with older versions of the ECSCLI regarding authentication and python dependencies. You will need to set up a configuration profile once ECSCLI is installed.

As an alternative, you can also find the ECSCLI install package available for download at EMC’s support site (v2 is available here).ĮCS CLI PIP Installation and Configuration
Emcopy netware archive#
If you want to archive a copy, use “pip download ecscli” rather than “pip install ecscli”. PIP will be in your system path once you’ve installed python so it can be run from any directory. The latest version of ECSCLI can always be downloaded and installed via pip using “pip install ecscli” from a windows command prompt.

Either way, you can manually install the requests package either by using “pip install requests” or downloading the code from GitHub and running “python setup.py install”. When I installed v3.1.9, the PIP install process appears to have taken care of installing the python requests package for me, but I saw reports of this issue while reading other documentation.

Update the Bucket ‘isStaleAllowed’ parameterīelow is a brief outline on installing EMC’s ECS CLI package. I have another blog entry on installing the ECS CLI here. A detailed description of each command is also available in EMC’s reference guide, which is available on their support site. The ‘-h’ flag will list the various options available with each command.
